The Cheapest Marketing Automation With Abandoned Cart, SMS and Revenue Reporting (2026)
The cheapest marketing automation with abandoned cart, SMS and revenue reporting, in short: Klaviyo's Free plan includes flows, $5 of mobile messages a month and revenue attribution, but only for 250 active profiles. Above that, the lowest qualifying tiers are ActiveCampaign Plus ($49/mo billed yearly, SMS add-on), Omnisend Pro ($59/mo list price) and Mailchimp Standard (SMS add-on).
More on this topic: Marketing automation and funnels, every guide in one place.
Plenty of tools advertise all three features. Far fewer include all three on their cheapest plan, and "from $9 a month" usually means the tier where one of them is missing. This page lists, for each vendor, the lowest tier where all three are actually available, with prices taken only from the vendor's own pricing page.
Key takeaways
- Tiny list (under 250 profiles): Klaviyo Free covers all three at $0.
- ActiveCampaign: Starter ($15/mo yr) has abandoned cart but no revenue reporting or SMS; Plus at $49/mo billed yearly (1,000 contacts) has all three, with SMS as an add-on.
- Omnisend: Standard ($16/mo list) has abandoned cart and revenue reporting; its pricing page lists SMS under Pro ($59/mo list, 2,500 contacts).
- Mailchimp: Standard was $20/mo for 12 months on a 50%-off offer (500 contacts); SMS is a paid add-on in select countries.
- Brevo: Standard is $18/mo and is where marketing automation is listed; SMS credits are sold separately.
- Drip ($39/mo to 2,500 people) has abandoned cart and revenue attribution but lists no SMS channel.
Which plan is the cheapest with abandoned cart, SMS and revenue reporting?
For a list of 250 profiles or fewer, Klaviyo Free is the cheapest at $0. For a typical small store with 1,000–2,500 contacts, ActiveCampaign Plus ($49/mo billed yearly at 1,000 contacts, plus the SMS add-on) and Omnisend Pro ($59/mo list at 2,500 contacts, with SMS credits) are the lowest tiers where all three features are clearly on the plan.

Prices checked on the vendors' pricing pages on 23 October 2026, in USD. Where a page shows only a promotional or estimator price, we say so. SMS sending is billed per message on top of every plan here. Confirm current pricing with each vendor before you commit.
Disclosure: this article is published by Scalry, which is not on the list — Scalry has no abandoned-cart automation or store integration, so it does not qualify. Read it knowing who wrote it, and check each claim against the vendor.
What each vendor's cheapest tier really includes
Klaviyo: free, but only for very small lists
Klaviyo's Free plan covers 250 active profiles, 500 email sends and $5 of mobile messages a month, and its pricing page lists "Create campaigns + flows" and revenue attribution for campaigns. Klaviyo's help centre documents an abandoned cart flow template in two versions, email only or email and SMS. Paid plans are priced through an estimator rather than a published table, so check current pricing for your list size.
ActiveCampaign: Plus is the real entry point
ActiveCampaign Starter ($15/mo billed yearly at 1,000 contacts) includes abandoned cart and the standard Shopify, Square and WooCommerce integrations, but its comparison table marks revenue reporting, ecommerce reporting and the SMS add-on as not included. Plus ($49/mo billed yearly) adds all three, plus cross-channel marketing and landing pages. The SMS add-on is sold separately and its price is not shown on the pricing page.
Omnisend: cheapest list price with SMS credits included
Omnisend's pricing page shows abandoned cart automation and revenue reporting on Free, Standard and Pro. SMS is described under Pro, which comes with bonus SMS credits equal to the monthly bill; extra US credits run from $0.009 down to $0.007 per message. At the time of checking, both paid plans carried a 30% discount on the first three months, so budget on the list price.
Mailchimp: watch the promotion and the add-on
Mailchimp's page showed Essentials at $13/mo and Standard at $20/mo "for 12 months" under a 50% discount, without a static regular price. Essentials limits a flow to four steps, which is tight for a multi-message cart series, so Standard is the realistic tier. SMS is an add-on for paid plans in select countries, requires an application, and credits expire monthly.
Brevo: cheap base price, everything else metered
Brevo prices on emails sent. Standard ($18/mo, or $194/yr, at 5,000 emails and 500 contacts) is where its pricing page lists marketing automation; on Free and Starter, Brevo's help centre says only 2,000 unique contacts can enter an automation. SMS credits are sold separately. Advanced ecommerce features and contact scoring with RFM and CLV are on Professional, which starts at $499/mo.
Drip: strong ecommerce, no SMS
Drip's $39/mo price covers 1–2,500 people with unlimited email sends, an abandoned cart playbook and revenue traced back to the email that earned it. Its pricing page lists email, social and onsite channels but not SMS, so it misses one of the three requirements.
What will it actually cost each month?
The plan price is the floor. Three things move the real number.
- SMS volume. Every vendor here bills SMS per message or per credit. A store texting 2,000 subscribers twice a month sends 4,000 messages before any automated cart reminders.
- List growth. All six price on contacts, profiles or sends. Price each at next year's list size, not today's.
- Introductory offers. Omnisend and Mailchimp both showed first-period discounts in October 2026. Budget on the regular price.
If your list is under 250, start on Klaviyo Free. If it is between 1,000 and 2,500 and you want SMS credits bundled, price Omnisend Pro. If you want the deepest automation logic, price ActiveCampaign Plus with the SMS add-on. Then compare the three at your real SMS volume.
What counts as "revenue reporting"?
Revenue reporting means the tool attributes store orders to the campaign, flow or message that preceded them, so you can see what an abandoned-cart series earned. Look for three things in a trial: revenue per flow, revenue per campaign, and an attribution window you can see and change. Opens and clicks alone are not revenue reporting.
Revenue attribution is also the base for deeper analysis. Our guide to RFM segmentation and LTV reporting shows what to do once orders are flowing in.
Why isn't Scalry on this list?
Scalry does not have abandoned-cart automation or a Shopify or WooCommerce integration, so it cannot do the job this page is about. It is built for teams that sell in conversations — CRM, cold email, booking and funnels. A store with a wholesale or B2B arm sometimes runs a sales CRM beside one of the tools above; our best CRM for ecommerce guide covers when that makes sense.
How to set up an abandoned cart flow with SMS
- Connect the store natively so cart and order events arrive without custom code.
- Collect SMS consent separately from email consent; see our SMS marketing guide for consent and timing.
- Start with email, then add one SMS step for subscribers who have not opened.
- Exit everyone who orders so nobody gets a reminder for a cart they already bought.
- Check revenue per flow after 30 days and compare it with the SMS spend.
