Build a cold email sequence

A sequence is a series of emails with a delay between each one. It stops automatically for anyone who replies.

Write the steps

1. Open Outreach > Sequences, type a name under New sequence and click Create.
2. In the builder, fill in the Subject, an optional From name and the Body. Insert First name, Last name or Company to personalize it, and use Preview to check it.
3. Click Add step. For each following email, set Days after previous step. The first step sends as soon as someone is enrolled.

Start it

Under Start this sequence, choose an audience list and click Start sequence. Audience lists are built under Automation > Campaigns. To add one person, open the sequence and use Enroll a contact with an email address that's already in your CRM.

Track and edit

The sequence page shows sent, opened, clicked and replied counts for each step. To change steps on a running sequence, click Pause sequence, edit, then Resume sequence. Steps that have already gone out are locked.
