Bland AI Pricing (2026): Per-Minute Rates, Plan Caps and Monthly Costs
Bland AI pricing, in short: Start is $0.14 a minute with no platform fee, Build is $0.12 a minute plus $299 a month, and Enterprise is custom. The rate covers the language model, transcription and voice; phone carrier costs are extra. Transfers cost $0.05 or $0.04 a minute, and Start is capped at 100 calls a day and 10 at once.
More on this topic: Calls, SMS and AI voice agents, every guide in one place.
Bland is a developer platform for AI phone agents, used for outbound qualification, inbound reception and high-volume call centres. Much of what ranks for its price still quotes a flat $0.09 a minute, which is no longer on the page. This guide uses the current plans, explains where the per-minute rate stops and the caps start, and works out monthly bills at four volumes.
Key takeaways
- Start: $0.14 a minute, $0 platform fee, no card; 10 concurrent calls, 100 calls a day, 1 voice.
- Build: $0.12 a minute plus $299 a month; 50 concurrent calls, 2,000 a day, 5 voices.
- Enterprise: custom contract, on-prem or VPC, BAA, SSO and data residency.
- Included in the rate: LLM, speech-to-text and text-to-speech, with no token charges.
- Extra: telephony (your carrier or Bland's at pass-through cost) and transfer time at $0.05 or $0.04 a minute.
- Build only pays on price above about 15,000 minutes a month; most teams move up for the caps instead.

Prices and limits checked on bland.ai/pricing on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, including the plan comparison table. Telephony is billed separately and is not on the page. Confirm current pricing with Bland before you commit.
Start includes two credits and an inbound number that Bland values at $15 a month, and needs no card. Uptime SLA is listed at 99.9% on all three plans.
Why do some sites say Bland costs $0.09 a minute?
Because $0.09 a minute was Bland's older flat rate. The current pricing page has no $0.09 tier: the self-serve rates are $0.14 and $0.12, set by plan. Any comparison that prices Bland at $0.09 understates the bill by a third or more.
The page also makes a point worth understanding: Bland's per-minute rate bundles the model, transcription and voice, while platforms such as Vapi and Retell quote a platform fee and bill those components separately. Bland's FAQ estimates typical all-in stacks at $0.13 to $0.30 a minute on Vapi and $0.11 to $0.25 on Retell. Those are Bland's figures about its competitors; our own breakdown in AI voice agent cost per minute found a mid-range Retell or Vapi build at about $0.11 to $0.14 before heavy models or premium voices.
What is not included in Bland's per-minute rate?
Telephony is not included: you pay your own carrier, or Bland's built-in Twilio at pass-through cost. Transfer time, the minutes after the agent hands a call to a person on a Bland number, is billed at $0.05 or $0.04 a minute.
- Bring your own telephony: Bland works with your Twilio account or SIP trunks; BYOT customers pay no transfer fees.
- Enterprise-only features: the comparison table marks SMS and web chat, in-call texts, the appointment scheduling node, warm and live transfers, guardrails, call outcomes, BAA and SSO as Enterprise.
- Engineering time: Bland is a developer platform; building, testing and maintaining the agent is real work.
- Voicemail and short calls still use minutes, and a large share of outbound dials reach voicemail.
What does Bland AI cost per month?
At 2,000 minutes a month Bland costs $280 on Start or $539 on Build, before telephony. The table works through four volumes.
| Talk minutes / month | Start ($0.14, no fee) | Build ($0.12 + $299) | Cheaper on price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 500 | $70 | $359 | Start |
| 2,000 | $280 | $539 | Start |
| 5,000 | $700 | $899 | Start |
| 20,000 | $2,800 (if caps allow) | $2,699 | Build |
Build saves $0.02 a minute, so it only beats Start on price above about 14,950 minutes a month ($299 divided by $0.02). But Start's caps bite earlier: 100 calls a day is about 3,000 calls in a 30-day month, and an outbound campaign dialling more than 100 numbers a day hits the cap whatever the minutes. In practice teams move to Build for concurrency and daily volume, and the per-minute saving is a bonus.

Is Bland AI cheaper than Retell or Vapi?
Not on the headline rate, and not clearly on the all-in rate. Bland's $0.14 includes model, transcription and voice; Retell starts at $0.055 and Vapi at $0.05 a minute for the platform, with the other components added. A typical Retell or Vapi build lands near Bland's price; a cheap model makes them cheaper, a premium voice more expensive.
| Platform | Headline rate | What the rate covers | Fixed fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bland | $0.14/min (Start), $0.12 (Build) | Model, STT and TTS; not telephony | $299/mo on Build |
| Retell AI | From $0.055/min | Voice infrastructure; model, voice and telephony added | None required |
| Vapi | $0.05/min hosting | Hosting; transcriber, model, voice and telephony at cost | Optional plans from $29/mo |
The trade is predictability against control. Bland gives you one number and runs the stack itself; Retell and Vapi let you choose each component. See Bland AI vs Retell AI and Retell AI vs Vapi for the details.
In the US, AI-voiced calls count as artificial-voice calls under the TCPA, so outbound campaigns need the right consent and calling hours whatever platform you use. See are AI voice calls legal before you load a list.
Who is Bland AI a good fit for?
Bland fits teams with developers who want one rate for the AI stack, and regulated or high-volume operations that will end up on an Enterprise contract with on-prem or VPC deployment. It is a harder fit for a small business without engineering help.
- Good fit: product teams embedding phone agents, contact centres, healthcare or finance teams needing a BAA.
- Check carefully: small outbound campaigns that need transfers or SMS, which the table lists as Enterprise.
- Probably not: a sales team that wants calls logged to its CRM without building the integration.
In Scalry, which publishes this guide, voice agents are part of the $29, $79 and $199 plans: call time is billed in credits from the plan's balance, each campaign has a calling window (8 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the number's local time by default) and do-not-call suppression, and outcomes land on the contact record. It is not a developer platform and has no Enterprise on-prem option.
What are the alternatives to Bland AI?
The main alternatives to Bland AI are Retell AI and Vapi, both developer platforms that bill each part of the call separately, and Synthflow for managed enterprise deployments. Retell includes 20 concurrent calls and charges $0.055 a minute for its voice infrastructure plus voice, model and phone; Vapi charges $0.05 a minute for hosting plus providers; Synthflow's contracts start at $30,000 a year. See Vapi alternatives for all of them side by side.

Questions to ask before you commit
Whichever way you are leaning, these are the questions that change the answer. Work through them against your own numbers rather than anyone's feature matrix — including this one.
- How many calls a day? More than 100 means Build, whatever the minutes.
- Do you need transfers or SMS? Confirm which plan includes them.
- Whose telephony? Bringing your own removes transfer fees.
- Who will build it? Price the engineering time.
- Do you have consent to call? Settle that before volume.
If you cannot answer the first three, you are not ready to choose between Scalry and Bland yet — you are still deciding what you need, which is a cheaper problem to solve first.
