Keap Pricing 2026: the Plan, the Onboarding Fee and Extra Users
Keap pricing, in short: Keap now sells one plan, starting at $299 a month billed monthly or $2,988 a year billed annually (about $249 a month). That starting price covers two users and the entry contact level of 1,500 contacts. Extra users are $39 a month each, and a one-time implementation package, listed at $500, is required.

Keap used to sell several feature-based plans, and a lot of older reviews still quote them. Its pricing page now says goodbye to feature-based plans: every customer gets the whole platform, and the price moves with contacts, users and text volume instead. This guide sets out each of those pieces, adds the implementation fee, and works out what a small team really pays in year one.
Key takeaways
- One plan: from $299 a month billed monthly, or $2,988 a year on an annual contract.
- Users: two included; each extra user is $39 a month.
- Contacts: the starting price is for 1,500 contacts. More contacts are priced in tiers through Keap's calculator, with a lower cost per contact at higher volumes.
- Implementation is required: a one-time package listed at $500 (shown reduced from $1,500).
- Annual contracts carry a $299 early termination fee if you cancel before the year ends.
- Free trial: no card, but capped at 25 emails, with no payments and no texting.
How much does Keap cost per month?
Keap costs $299 a month on monthly billing, or $2,988 a year on annual billing, which works out to about $249 a month. Both prices are for the starting configuration: 1,500 contacts and two users. Larger lists and extra users raise the bill from there.

Prices checked on Keap's own pricing page and implementation services page on 26 October 2026, in US dollars. Keap prices contacts above the starting level through a calculator rather than a published table, and invites buyers to ask about promotions — confirm your exact quote with Keap before you sign.
There is no cheaper tier to start on. If you see Keap quoted at a lower monthly price with fewer features, you are reading a page written before the single-plan change; Keap's own pricing page no longer lists feature-based plans. The page also says to ask about current promotional offers, so the price you are quoted on a sales call can differ from the list price above.
Is the Keap onboarding or implementation fee mandatory?
Yes. Keap's pricing page describes its implementation services as required, and its FAQ explains why the package is required rather than whether it is. The implementation page lists one package as a one-time investment of $500, shown next to a struck-through $1,500.
Keap's stated reasoning is that customers who get help setting the software up get more value from it. Whatever you think of that argument, budget for it: the fee is part of the first-year cost of every new Keap account. The page also says you can ask how to save on implementation by chat or phone, so it is worth asking before you pay.
| What the implementation package includes | Amount |
|---|---|
| Business mapping session | Included |
| Automations launched for you | 2 |
| Basic data import | Included |
| Migration services | Up to 15 hours |
| Weekly calls with an implementation strategy manager | Month 1 |
| Monthly strategy calls | Months 2–6 |
| Quarterly strategy calls | Months 7–12 |
| Third-party tools integrated | Up to 2 |
Up to 15 hours of migration and two built automations is real work, and if you are moving off another system it may save you more than $500 of your own time. If you are starting from a spreadsheet with a few hundred contacts, you will use less of it.
How much does Keap charge for extra users?
Keap charges $39 a month for each user beyond the two included licences. A user is anyone who logs in with their own username and password, so a five-person team pays for three extra users, or $117 a month on top of the platform price.
| Team size | Extra users | Users add-on / mo | Platform + users / mo (monthly billing) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 0 | $0 | $299 |
| 3 | 1 | $39 | $338 |
| 5 | 3 | $117 | $416 |
| 10 | 8 | $312 | $611 |
These totals assume the starting contact level. Keap says you add users through your Customer Success Manager or Keap support rather than a self-serve button, so allow for that step when you hire.
How does Keap price contacts?
Keap prices contacts in tiers: the starting price covers 1,500 contacts, and larger lists cost more, with the cost per contact falling as volume rises. Keap does not print the tier prices as text on its pricing page; you enter a contact count in its calculator to see a price, and very large lists are quoted over chat.
A contact, in Keap's definition, is a single person recorded in your account, with their details, notes, payments and history. That matters because contacts you no longer email still count. Cleaning out old, unengaged records before you migrate can keep you in a lower tier.
What does Keap text marketing cost?
Keap's first text marketing tier is included with the subscription: 500 messages and 100 voice minutes a month, with a toll-free number. Higher tiers cost $24 to $279 a month. Automated texts and broadcasts are US-only.
| Text tier | Price / mo | Messages | Voice minutes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | Included | 500 | 100 |
| Tier 2 | $24 | 1,000 | 300 |
| Tier 3 | $39 | 2,500 | 500 |
| Tier 4 | $79 | 5,000 | 800 |
| Tier 5 | $139 | 10,000 | 1,000 |
| Tier 6 | $279 | 25,000 | 2,000 |
Usage above your tier costs $0.015 per message and $0.01 per voice minute. Optional add-ons are 500 extra texts for $6 a month and a local number for $10 a month. Payment processing is separate too: whether you use Keap Pay or another processor, each charges its standard rate per payment.

What does Keap cost in the first year?
A three-person team on Keap's starting contact level pays about $4,556 in year one on monthly billing, or $3,956 on an annual contract, once the required $500 implementation package and one extra user are included.
| Line item | Monthly billing | Annual contract |
|---|---|---|
| Platform (1,500 contacts, 2 users) | $3,588 ($299 × 12) | $2,988 |
| 1 extra user at $39/mo | $468 | $468 |
| Implementation package (one-time) | $500 | $500 |
| Text marketing Tier 1 | Included | Included |
| Year-one total | $4,556 | $3,956 |
Year two drops by the $500 implementation fee. A list larger than 1,500 contacts, more texting, or more users moves the total up; a promotion moves it down. The annual contract saves $600 against monthly billing on the platform alone, but it locks you in: cancel early and Keap charges a $299 early termination fee, and cancellation has to be requested by phone at least 10 days before the next invoice.
Does Keap have a free trial?
Yes. Keap's free trial needs no credit card and includes most of the paid features, but it is limited: you can send at most 25 emails, you cannot process payments, and you cannot send or receive texts.
You also need to set up DKIM authentication before the trial will send email. That is a sensible requirement, since Gmail and Yahoo expect authenticated senders, but it means a meaningful email test inside the trial is hard. Use the trial to judge the interface and the automation builder; judge deliverability and payments only after you pay.
Is Keap worth the price?
Keap is worth it when you will use its automation, payments and done-for-you setup together, and when the $500 implementation will replace work you would otherwise pay someone to do. It is expensive if you mainly need a contact list and email newsletters.
- Good fit: service businesses that invoice and take payments, run long follow-up sequences and want help building them.
- Good fit: teams migrating from another platform, where 15 hours of migration help has real value.
- Poor fit: solo users who only need email marketing; the $299 floor is several times what email-only tools cost.
- Poor fit: buyers who want to leave easily; the annual contract's $299 termination fee and phone-only cancellation add friction.
Many review sites still list Keap's former feature-based plans with lower prices. Keap's own page now shows a single plan from $299 a month. If a quote you have seen is well under that, check its date.
How does Keap compare on price?
Keap sits well above email-first automation tools on price. Our Keap vs ActiveCampaign comparison shows how far apart they are for the same team, and Keap alternatives groups other options by the job you need Keap to do. For a direct look at a CRM that bundles funnels and outreach, see Scalry vs Keap. For the plans of an automation-first rival, see ActiveCampaign pricing, and for how flat, per-seat and per-contact pricing compare, how much a CRM costs.
Scalry, which publishes this guide, prices its plans at $29, $79 and $199 a month, with a 14-day trial that needs no card and no required implementation fee. The plans include the CRM and pipeline, funnels and landing pages, email marketing and cold email sequences, with calls and SMS available on paid plans with your own number.
Questions to ask before you commit
Whichever way you are leaning, these are the questions that change the answer. Work through them against your own numbers rather than anyone's feature matrix — including this one.
- How many contacts will you import? Above 1,500, get the tier price from Keap's calculator first.
- How many people need logins? Each beyond two adds $39 a month.
- Will you use the implementation package? It is required; ask whether a lower price is available.
- Monthly or annual? Annual saves $600 a year but carries a $299 early termination fee.
- How much will you text? Tier 1 covers 500 messages; overages are $0.015 each.
If you cannot answer the first three, you are not ready to choose between Scalry and Keap yet — you are still deciding what you need, which is a cheaper problem to solve first.
